Lisa was born and raised in Marin County, CA, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, and had re-invented herself several times before going to medical school at the age of 26.  She is board certified in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, and Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine.  Although she has many clinical interests, her bread and butter  clinical practice involves resuscitation in the ED and ICU.  She is enrapt with the field of Critical Care Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS), feels POCUS is a powerful and indispensable tool in the ED and ICU, and is dedicated to continual POCUS learning and teaching.  She will happily take a well-performed, well-interpreted Critical Care POCUS any day over a pulmonary artery catheter in an unstable patient.
